'On the 40th anniversary of the famous ‘Blue Marble’ photograph taken of Earth from space, Planetary Collective presents a short film documenting astronauts’ life-changing stories of seeing the Earth from the outside – a perspective-altering experience often described as the Overview Effect.'

It would be beautiful to see this for the first time with a full understanding of what it means to be looking down at planet earth.  Children see images of earth and hardly realize the fullness of what they are looking at.  ‘The Blue Marble’ photograph has become a symbol and icon to be plastered all over posters, rather than a beautiful organic piece of universal history to be admired.   As an adult who has dreamed of space and been filled with wonder, it would be a phenomenal experience to finally understand and be able to see with your own eyes the vastness of planet earth, hanging in the dark, a tiny particle of what is really out there.  Amazing.
